I see AI as largely beneficial; it introduces controversy in the weaker studios who use it, and is a good indicator of a poorly managed IP for larger studios. These are both good for me since I'll be competing with everyone else. While companies are firing top talent and resorting to AI slop, I'll be quietly building…
@Eric Chadwick Thank you so much Eric! For the grip I use tattoo grip tape and just roll it around until I find a shape that feels comfortable. I think the thin brushes handles is making me grip very thightly and since I'm having a lot of issue with my thumb join I am trying to prevent it as much as possible. The bigger…
Hi everyone, I need your help to hopefully find the tools and learning material I'm looking for. So, despite I already know how to use 3ds Max, given its exorbitant cost and mine being simply an hobby with 0 income, I've decided I should learn Blender instead. well, I can think of two big things to comment on; 1. does the katana have distal taper? Many 3D artists model swords as if they were cut from a flat sheet of metal; you want distal taper. 2. Is the cross-section of the katana grip oval or perfectly round? You want an oval cross-section for edge alignment. other than that…

if you want to get better at 3D art, you're going to have to buy the software and train yourself in your free time Last I checked Novedge had one of the cheapest listings for a Zbrush license (I'm not sure if this is the case anymore, I don't see a perpetual license listed, would want to double-check), you can also buy a…
