TBH it's a really underrated field by anybody who's not in the industry, especially in smaller countries like Finland where the industry is still taking baby steps. I personally just freelance every now and then and mainly work as a postal worker, lol.

for me it's one of the reasons to freelance - to be able to work out during the day, go outside when i feel like it and have a proper meal once in a while. as opposed to be sat in an office all day then have some takeaway in the break.

i started freelancing when i was 16 or so, got my first fulltime job at 18. I would say 18 is the minimum age. Many companies actually put "must be 18 years or older" in their job descriptions.
If you dont think you can find a local job and dont want to relocate then perhaps try to freelance? BTW your pixel stuff is very nice so maybe you should do some DS spec models.
