Maya Indie License Question

Hi Polycount, I had a quick question about Maya's indie license 100,000 USD annual revenue limit.

Apologies if this question has been asked before, I am having a very hard time finding the answer to my question through search.

A quick search I see this quote:

"Are you eligible? Your annual gross revenue from creative work must be less than $100,000 USD."

Is this 100,000 limit referring to previous tax year, current tax year or projected annual revenue?

Say for example, if an artist passed the 100k limit and then lost their job all in the same year in 2022. If this same artist decided to buy Maya indie license in 2023 (when their income is 0) is the 100,000 limit being rolled over from the previous tax year?

What happens to freelancers who are near the limit and have volatile income? Say an artist in 2022 made 90,000 "annual revenue" and then in 2023 this same artist made an annual revenue of 100,050.

What happens when an artists overshoots the limit?
