Do you have Process Explorer? Might be DPCs going through the roof, or some other process stealing power... Process Explorer can help pinpoint the offender.

Are you sure it is not a power and/or old AGP port problem? Otherwise, get the Nvidia... the 5200 pretty much sucks, but anything from Nvidia is better than that Ati crap
3dsmax/gmax is actually an easier program, and it's MUCH more powerful. 3dsmax can render, but it costs a helluva lot. Gmax can't, but it's free http://discreet.com i think.
well since this is still open Ill recomend Tenjo Tenge. Decent fighting anime, that actually gets interesting and doesnt include 5 minute "power up" sequences.
First post here on Polycount. Working on a realistic gritty steampunk style game (taking heavy inspiration from Dishonored). Latest addition is this barrel for tar, which essentially powers most vehicles and heavy machinery.
