I'd like to see you frame the composition with some foreground objects, maybe add some trees to the foreground to lock in the sense of scale. Did a quick paint over, i hope you don't mind.
Hey GameOfScones! While in DDO's main window, click the dropdown button at the top right. From there, click Add New Map. Select Emissive from the list, and adjust its settings to your liking. :smile:
Did a few small updates on the model. Stylewise I decided to get it a little more stylized (like Overwatch) then real. I plan to use ndo later to add a few additional indents and panel lines.
Make sure the triangulation is the same. Trapezoid quads on really low-resolution meshes will cause big distortions to the texture. Only way to avoid is to paint on triangulated mesh (what you did), or add more geometry.
I did a test with Max 2015, worked flawlessly for me. I had to add a Turn To Mesh modifier, to prevent the FBX UVs from freaking out. http://www.ericchadwick.com/examples/files/Box_Symmetry_2015.zip

i'd approach the hat the same EXACT way you did w/the boots. curvy....twisted.....like the face. little bit bigger for sure. that would add a ton of balance to the whole thing i think.
