Max 2012 - Alpha Render Issue?
The viewport shows my alphas properly, but when I render I am getting a white halo around the edges. I have switched renderers between scanline, mental ray, and V-Ray and I get the same result everytime. Any ideas? -
Re: Bake Times!
Generally the number of rays will impact things the most. So larger textures or higher quality bakes will take longer - especially outputs that use lots of bounce rays (ambient occlusion, cavity, etc). -

Also recommended this too when I was using the baker. I think your issue is ray-distance related, but also maybe it could be these ngons causing the rays/cage to blow out oddly? -
