1st iam717 https://polycount.com/discussion/237071/brawl2-character-r-m-iam717#latest Its a hilarious mashup, love it! A lot of thought process went into it as shown by wips. I particularly loved the small details like portal animation, dice with punching gloves and 'pain' written on Kuato. It also shows nice UV layout and…
Anyone playing this and are their any artists that worked on it around here? I am really impressed at the graphical fidelity, especially from a small studio that seems to be using their own engine as well. I'd love to know what they did to achieve it all. From the look of it a lot of it must be photogrammetry, either that…
Hi Polycount! I have decided to finish this project at last by incorporating photogrammetry for making unique textures of the exterior and interior of the vehicle. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/gaz-69-new-scan-eb3e915c4f054382b5a1a5aa328b96a4 The diffuse color form the Photoshop gives the texture a very unique look - I…
Geez!...now that is indeed very neat, although pity AFAIK the app currently is IOS centric whereas with Android it's still not fully featured? https://3dscanexpert.com/qlone-smartphone-3d-scanning-app-ios-android-review/ Anyway regardless as a 3D Scan/photogrammetry noob, IMO looks to be a low cost entry into getting my…
https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=B9FE0AEBDC25FDBC&id=B9FE0AEBDC25FDBC!109 80go pictures of scales from star wars identities exbibit, from a crazy guy at therpf.com I used shots from Slave 1 to make a photogrammetry model, and got decent result. Seen those myself, great moment ! That's where you realize, beyond the modeling…
>The reason it's in a box is to keep ambient light out. Also to keep prying eyes out. Shhh, it's a secret! ;) Joe is basically correct. It's a box with a camera attached to it. The basics behind photogrammetry apply - what differs is how we compile the scans together to produce the final result, plus stuff I can't talk…
Hi! I have been thinking of getting myself a ColorChecker passport since i recently got a DSLR camera. I'v seen a lot of nice results with it, but i don't have that much money at the moment so not sure if it's worth the investment (i know it's not a lot, but i'm saving up)... I'm mainly using my camera to grab reference as…
Cleaning scanned model in Zbrush is a waste of time IMO. You should rather focus on having better pictures and right shooting strategy . So photogrammetry soft would do less of noise and artifacts. Anyway Zbrush tools work very bad on meshes exported directly from Reality capture or Metashape. Only way to fix something IMO…
http://www.frostbite.com/2016/03/photogrammetry-and-star-wars-battlefront/ so, -they projected light from terrain on to meshes? -and used world uv's on terrain and meshes? If yes I figured it out few years ago and used it on project I done on UE4. That was super easy and gave me good results. I was able to paint on the…
Same discussions cropped up when photogrammetry became a thing. My personal take is that there will always be a drive to automate but there will never be a magic button for (good) art. Also, some form of procedural generation (PDG) was possible before "AI" but the results are mixed and from what ive seen the best results…
