Been working on this one for a while now. Worked from my old DominanceWar III concept which back then I didn't get the time to complete the modelling. This is how far I got with the hipoly. The body sculpt is at early stage and when done all the clothing parts on the armor will get some zbrush atttention as well. For the…
Here is a bunch of renders of stuff I made for Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. Have a few more things to render out, but they are such a pain so I dont know if I will, hah (like a pair of giant doors...) Everything built and rendered in Modo. Didnt build the underlying base for the soldiers, thats the standard grunts, only…
Hey guys, I'm working on a character that my buddy and I hope to get 3D printed. Here's the concept: And here's my current progress: I wanna get his anatomy down before I move onto his armor and clothing. Feedback is greatly appreciated as always guys. Let me know if you see something off :)
This is looking nice, very good detailing in the armour and consistency in small and mid forms. I can tell you did your research so good work! Since you asked - A few things i can say that this piece is lacking though is that lighting needs works. right now its really hard to appreciate the form and silhouette of your…
Looking great, the details you have on the clothe/armor are really nice and clean. The head looks off to me, like out of place and not meshing with the rest. It's just a bit less polished, which could simply be a matter of time. I'd work on the hair on the head/face some more if that isn't already your plan. keep it up!
- Thor Odinson Thanks! The bandages have alot to do with his character description. I will be posting his backstory when I have time to complete it. As far as the knee pads go, the reason for them being 'oversized' is that the Malevolent doesn't have any leg armor (besides his 'pants'), also, they are more of a religious…
just a little update. was having some weird geometry issues with his head so i just shaved his head down and gave him more of a helmet of armor on his head... dunno if im digging it as much... i might redo it again. need to fix the wrinkles on his hand. I kinda went nuts there...
Thanks. I'll do them all as one mesh then. I also don't have the arms attached to the actual body. In the concept, it looks like they're actually separate. I figured it would help me with keeping the poly count down as I wouldn't have to cut holes into the armor. Is there any major problems with doing it that way?
Update: Started blocking out the armor and weapons. I ended up changing it from my original idea so that it would read better from the 3/4 view and match Janna's silhouette more closely. Any critiques or feedback are greatly appreciated! @yararstss @motenai Thanks so much for your kind words! :)
I think you need to check your initial references. The most obvious problem is the the bow machine gun and the driver's vision port are on the wrong side. Beyond that, many of the shapes just don't match their real-life counterparts - e.g. the shape of the bow machine gun's armor, the commander's hatch, the smoke…
