This week our new Level Design guys are working on the AutoLam and Speedtree for the map. One of our Blueprint guys is working on the Clan System. We have a new 3D modeler working on our first vehicle! Good progress all around! Still looking for more individuals :)
UT3 uses an integrated version of speedtree. ;) You DON'T have to make them. (in most cases) also Toonshoes. Tying knots is a lot harder when you have to think about how the string actually bends. :)
Wow!, its really coming along, that corn feild's looking really nice eq. I dont know about those trees, I think the foliage textures are a bit repetitive, you're useing speedtree right?
An entry i made for "the rookies awards 2020". If you've enjoyed it please visit: https://www.therookies.co/entries/6473 to vote or share mesh view for each render, here : https://www.artstation.com/dagm_arts Softwares used : blender, substance painter and speedtree
Some new trees, made with speedtree and mimicking Mikael Gustaffson's style a bit. The plants I'm experimenting with. Not sure what I want to do, so trying a little bit of everything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ARskFxV7Mk
Like mentioned before, Vue isn't good for realtime. If you are looking for a fast way to make vegetation and foliage, you're still going to have to do it the hard way. Unless you use speedtree, and even then, it's just for trees.
I'm trying to match the art style of The Witcher 3 . This really was just to practice my lighting and foliage creating workflow but I got carried away and decided to take it a bit further. Comments and suggestions? Made with Unreal Engine, Speedtree, Maya, Photoshop, and Crazybump. Video link is at my Artstation.
Hi. In speedtree (software), there is an automatic mesh generation feature for leaves. However, it only creates up to 20 edges. I need something like this, but not so limited on the deatail of the generated mesh. Any ideas? I would try photoshop, but the 3d functions are not currently compatible with my latest gpu driver.…
This is an old thing I used "SpeedTree" first time for project. It was already done about 2 years ago and I want to share some images. Now many people use MegaScan and I will try it for next project. You can find more art stuff on my artstation. https://www.artstation.com/guma3d
