You need to spend some time in MD. the clothing (particularly the trousers) have too little material to produce convincing folds and stretches. Perhaps fiddle with the pattern and use pins where the material falls too much.
her upper thighs will come all the way in and you won't be able to see through her legs... this is the best pic i could find that matches you girls stance…
thanks a lot for the tips MD, but i think i'll pass on the texturing of this piece for now. dont think my texturin skill is up to mark right now, certainly a project i'll take up a few weeks or a few months later. thanks to everyone for ur support. :) :)
Decided to give Marvelous Designer a crack tonight. Not decided yet if I'll stick with my original cape sculpt and work it up or try and get something nicer out of MD, but I'm seriously impressed with it so far. Gets a bit mesmerising just moving it about during the simulation.
Polycount... how the hell did I find it. mmm-- I think it was probably BladeKiller, whom I knew from Urban Terror (Q3 Mod). She suggested #md to me on EnterTheGame, went in there - and I think polycount was part of it. Thats probably the route -- can't be 100% though.
i took my previous Body builder Model and turned him to a military Marine. I used MD for Pants and a bit max modeling for boots.. Hope u like it Cheeerrrrsss. For more images: https://www.artstation.com/artist/asgard855
working on a marvelous designer to zbrush to keyshot workflow lately. Trouble with gaping seams and the like and getting high enough subd on my cloth but at least keyshot is easy to learn. MD and Keyshot are the easiest for me to grasp but Zbrush is much harder
Hi guys, take a look at my latest high poly character 'The Lord of Darkness' from the movie 'Legend 1985' and tell me what you think. Sculpted, textured and rendered in ZB + MD for garments + some PS post work. Cheers!
Trying to push this piece as far as possible. Making slight adjustments before the last day of class this Wednesday. Will post again if significant changes are made. Modeled in Maya, sculpted in ZBrush, clothes in MD, textured in Substance Painter, and rendered in V-Ray.
I really like the progress you've gone through so far. Lovely work. Anyway, I'd suggest to model some underwear if you're going to simulate something in MD, because of the possibility of nipples poking through. Like Tectonic mentioned.
