(Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I'm pretty new here.) [Update: 2/06/11] The list of things that need doing has been added to the community page, and can be viewed here: Part 1: Part 2: [Update: 1/06/11] Due to some concerns raised here, allow me to clarify something: I will state here and now that no third…
Ceebee, i think the big distinction to be made there, is that valve both make and publish their own games, they had the foresight to think that digital distribution would be the way forward, and made steam as their platform for distributing their own content. this gave them the flexibility to say "we make what we want to…
I like the star on the chest in 3, but I feel like you need a more iconic design for the gauntlets. The chest piece could also stand to play more of a roll in the silhouette. Legs are still screaming the shape language of overwatch to me, which is clean-futuristic, so maybe do something to break that up a little. Leather,…

Steampunk guns are usually variants of 3 major designs. Steam-powered "rail guns", ray-guns, and unnecessarily mechanical kinetic…
It’s not impossible. I've worked on a few mod’s in the past that have gone retail, and our current game (which is more game than mod, as it’s a total engine), OverDose, has already had a retail offer which we declined due to reasons I can't really go into here. So it’s not impossible. But if your mod isn't really doing…

It's divided up by assemblies basically. Driving gear as one, streamlining as one, frame/valves as one, boiler/steam pipe as one etc. Painter handles a few million perfectly fine. It's vray converter doesn't understand what to do about reflection maps, but apart from that it's pretty much seamless
