[Reviving Undoing] – Seeking Environment Artists, UE5 Devs, and More

Project Title: Undoing

Introduction:
We’re looking for passionate game developers to help revitalize Undoing, a multiplayer survival game that originally launched but didn’t gain the visibility it needed. Our goal is to refine and enhance the game using existing assets while creating new content where necessary. We're developing a polished vertical slice to showcase the game, build community interest, and prepare for a fundraising campaign. If the fundraiser succeeds, contributors will transition to paid contracts to continue development.

About the Game:
Undoing is a fast-paced, multiplayer survival game for up to 64 players. It features multiple gameplay modes, including Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All, and Survival. Players can fight as either humans or monsters, utilizing a mix of melee and ranged combat mechanics for intense battles.

Our Goals:

  • Develop a polished vertical slice to showcase the game’s potential.
  • Grow a dedicated community around the project.
  • Launch a successful fundraising campaign to sustain further development.

Looking for Talent:

We’re assembling a team to bring Undoing back to life and are currently prioritizing the following roles:

Environment Artists

  • Create immersive 3D environments using existing and new assets.
  • Optimize assets (including LODs) for performance.
  • Work with Niagara VFX to enhance the game’s atmosphere.

Unreal Engine Developers (C++/Blueprint)

  • Implement core gameplay mechanics in C++.
  • Improve multiplayer networking for smooth online play.
  • Use Blueprint scripting for gameplay features and interactions.

Marketing & Community Management

  • Help with fundraising and securing financial backing.
  • Manage social media to build and engage a community.
  • Create promotional content, including trailers and game updates.
  • Explore potential merchandise (apparel design, branding).

💡 We’re also open to other roles that can contribute to the project’s success—whether in game development, creative support, or community management. If you think you can help, reach out!

Additional Info:

  • Website: A website will be developed as the team grows.
  • Work Format: Remote, flexible hours.
  • Compensation: Volunteer-based until the fundraiser succeeds, then transitioning to paid contracts.
