done a bit more work. almost done with the lowpoly, her left hand is unfinished and i need to reduse the polys on some areas.. made a quick automap and baked normals and ao just to see what it might look like later on.. atm its just above 8000 tris.. will bring it down to 7-7500 i think.. -

1.) download 2.) unzip with winrar 3.) put the "Max_Retopo.mse" file into any folder 4.) go to 3dsmax 5.) hit F11 (max script listener) 6.) go within that listener file > run script 7.) select that "Max_Retopo.mse" and hit open or run 8.) you should see the floater thats one way to do it -

I've finally gotten everything fixed, so I can show wireframes now. Finally got Windows 7 64 bit. Seems faster. Now I can make stuff again. I think I am going to put that house on the first page on the back burner, while I focus on more vegetation creation. Anyways... -

these were amoungst my first, or rather my dads my brother programmed on them, i made pictures (not on the first ever pc) and broke them :-( i was about 7 :-( this baby had like the first ever role playing game that i saw that had pretty pictures (castle or sommit) we had a spectrum, as well at some point -

That's what we usually do for 3d engines: artists make tileable/wrappable/mirrorable texture ( just using Photoshop's offset filter + stamp tool ). The game level designers place the textures on walls tiling them several times(5, 6, 7 times). Then, some decals are placed ( graffities, dust, marks, etc ). I hope it helps. -

JI styles : i used max 7... although after that *tweak* I had to do, the rendering is really cool, very close to what I expected from such a shader, once again, great job man. and yah, the default settings are a little too strong but after a few quick tweaks, they are really cool, I love the fresnel thing -

I forgot about it, but I did a video from the game. it's quite huge since i'm not used to video compression sorry :S around 70Mg I think, for around 7 min. No sound however, it remove a lot of the mood it's a pity :-/ anyway those who followed this thread by that time might be interested… -

Trimsheet 45 degree angle issue (AO seams?)
Hi! I've been trying to use trimsheet to texture some of the parts of this mesh. Precisely, I've try to use Olsen Morten techniques to create trimsheet with a 45 degree angle but no matter how I tweak it I'm still having trouble with the dark seems... (it gets worst when having AO on top of it...) Maybe it's the way I made…
