what version of maya? if you want you can send me an fbx and I will re-export from maya 2013 and 2012 and see if it does it with both of them. alecmoody@gmail.com
so I just installed the trial version of Maya 2012 (was using 2011) and it now works.... guess your right about Maya's shitty viewport rendering, sort it out autodesk...
I think the integrated NEX tools are getting in the way of a lot of functionality I have since gotten used to from 2013, and it's quite irritating to say the least. You should try using Collapse for merging down edges.
I have a mesh that I have tried to export and re-import, copied and pasted, to try and get it to accept Smoothing Groups and it just won't do so. The other models I have in the file accept them just fine. Is there a check box option I may have accidentally turned on or off?
Hello guys I ran into a problem in max. I'm not sure if it's a bug or not, but its sure is damn annoying. Well here's the problem I'm unwrapping a model and in the UV editor all the edges are completely grey, I can't see crap until I zoom all the way in, is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance.
I decided it's time to create thread here because i've done working on the concept and here it is More wip concepts in attachments. (just post it if someone is interested what other ideas i had :) ) I'm planning to post my workflow everyday, but probably my laziness won't let me do that. :poly136:
Im trying to do some detailed painting in Maya but when I use a small brush size I cant seem to get a steady stroke. Instead its more a series of circles. Does anyone know a way to increase the refresh rate for the brush in mudbox? I have stamp spacing unchecked.
So, I've recently been having a problem with the modeling toolkit's interactive bevel tool. Not very good at explaining things so here is a GIF As you can imagine this is aneurysm inducing and I haven't been able to find anything about it on the webz. Creating a fresh scene fixes it, but thats a bother to keep doing that.
