Not quite sure what you mean, but you can customize how everything functions in different applications. The wacom drivers make it easy to set up different profiles for each app.
I think the above image shows why extrude/offset isn't a good substitute for an inset function. Offset handles convext angles perfectly but fails when it comes to concave ones.
When The Mesh turns that greenish/blue color that is just showing the faces that were not subdivided. You can still sculpt that area though. You can turn off this function in preferences .
If you look at real life guns , they are purely functional in design ... try to think of a reason somthing is onyour model ... if there is bits sticking out , or holes ... why are they there? just my 2 pence

I can strip model in max by selecting an edge and pressing shift+transform to clone edge. What other apps support this kind of function I can't find it in wings3d. How about Maya, XSI,silo,..ect.
Mechanical arm is interconnected and all joints function and hold together.. When the animation starts the end point makes arc trajectory. How can I make it to do a linear trajectory? THNX
