Great video. Robin Williams is a bit of a gamer. I remember reading a few years ago that he regularly played Day of Defeat, and this was back before it was a retail game when it was still a mod for the original Half-Life.
Pretty cool. I've actually met him once. He's been to EA HQ several times. Seemed like a genuinely decent bloke. Him and Bing Gordon (one of the founders of EA) are old buddies which is how this came about.
Orpheus posted this in #MD. it's the full demonstration of Spore before the Robin Williams bit along with a discussion with Williams about gaming and a brief bit with Will Wright.
He was on Letterman one night talking about Quake way back when.
edit: Here's the account:
"He went on to talk about this game called "Quake", and described how he would walk into a room, stand there for a second, and instantly die a grizzly death. Then, the 5 "college guys" who play for at least 8 hours a day would walk up to him from out of the shadows, give his corpse a kick, and then run off to kill again."

Spore itself, I cannot WAIT for. Been watching that since last E3 - looks absolutely amazing.
Did it crash at the end?
