True, though I'm also worried that if Nexon indeed buys EA they might have their own ideas on what to do with their key franchises; adding an aggressive F2P model or by making MMO versions of them. It might be me, but I have this impression that people who buy EAs and Nexons games are completely different types of…
I haven't used it yet, but looking at the documentation one workflow looks like you sketch out your animation on a bitmap layer(s). Then go back and trace it all on vector layer(s), and finally export the vector layers as an animation. Though you could forgo that and export a bitmap based PNG sequence or Quicktime movie…
Looking very cool so far. Scale suffers at the moment though it`s still early stage. Those trees help with scale, but the boulders are all huge, and it looks atm more like miniature trees rather than big gigant. I`m sure that will be fixed with smaller props scattered. Other than that it`s awesome so far !
One logical mistake I have found: Don´t know what´s that close behind the tank turret (maybe gas reservoir like in T-72, or something), but it doesn´t seem to be it´s part. Looks like it was fixed to the body of the tank. But the turret couldn´t rotate that way, so the tank would be very vurnelable.
Aside from me wishing somebody would code in specularPower and specularScale into the shaders so certain things don't look like they are made of jelly (Preds flesh, for one), the game looks awesome and will be a day one purchase for me defo. If they can beat AvP 1's atmosphere but AvP 2's gameplay then its gonna rock.
I think it´s looking great so far! Japhir is right on the shoulder...you want the arm to move not the entire shoulder area so it helps if you put a loop in there to keep it´s form. Poly distribution looks very good apart from the tube which has a bit too many loops for my taste. Keep going! :)
Hey guys Was looking at "The Style" thread and came up with this list of 5 options to vote for: * Victorian * Biosphere * Steam Punk * 1960's The Prisoner * Lovecraft 1920's However I think these are more themes than actual styles but give me a kick if I am wrong? Also if I have missed one out that you guys think should…
Hey guys, I just saw this contest on the newsfeed of CS:GO so I thought why not give it a try? :) Since the theme is 70's - 80's sci-fi, the first thing that immediately popped into my mind is Doctor Who. (One of my favorite shows) So I'm going to start with something related to that. I'll update this thread when I've got…
Initial sketch and block in for an m4a4 paintjob. Want to emulate the types of paintjobs I'd see on work by Chris Foss, Syd Mead, and Peter Andrew Jones. I also looked to a lot of 1970's era advertising to see what the most "70's" color schemes would be. I think a combination of the color source, and the design principles…
What happens when fans of Portal who also happen to be small film makers get the itch? Click on through to find out. Eisen Feuer, an independent film maker, has created an 8 minute fan film of Portal based on Chell's life outside of Aperture Science. The film was created based on Portal 1's ending, not Portal 2's.…
