Oh snap! Our 3rd anniversary is today. We went to a nice restaurant in Malibu over the weekend, I sent her flowers today and just cooking dinnner at home.

Perhaps placing something on top of their blankets would help signify death and mourning. A flower, a make-shift cross, a helmet or sword. It might be a little 'on the nose' though. Your call.

absolutely amazing, great work (Y)... Only thing I could pick out was that the pink flower on your fourth screenshot is completely static as the rest of your foliage is moving.
This is an updated render on my scene that I posed earlier. I have decided not to use the normal map on the tree since this way it looks softer which fits with the flowers it holds.
