Question for people, Once you do load an item and launch a test map, is there no way to exit that map? Must I reload Dota for every iteration of testing? Is there a win game console command I cant find somewhere? Or is it just the leave match button I cant find. The other client you could just abandon the match.
Nice writeups @Thanez, although apologies think I'm derailing this topic a bit but yeah I've dabbled with Blender's rounded edge shader which indeed does bear looking into for future reference, if the OP should wish to do so at some point. Anyway briefly vanilla workflow is imo fairly adequate in terms of most hard surface…
I'd highly recommend that you read those linked resources I had posted then likewise test iterations of your particular object, therefore putting into practice the 'How and Why' behind the fundamental reasoning described by @FrankPolygon Now for the highlighted areas above, they're intersecting control or support loops and…

I'm not sure about the 10% aspect of it though - we're asking Valve to take a hit, and we are also going to still take a hit... that makes implementing it tougher to swallow on all sides. I don't see…

When I've worked with artist in the past, usually teh more experienced ones ask a lot more questions than others. And usually we try to get the art out in tiers, I guess you might say. Like, the first thing is that I want to get something in the game to start getting a sense of how it's gonna work. Maybe this a low poly…
Whenever I send something from Maya, Zbrush tends to loop through all subtools(Not sure why) before placing the actual mesh. Sometimes if you have alot of subtools it can take a while.
I was wondering if anyone have a good workflow to share when it comes to dealing with max cages (projection mod) when a change is needed to be done on the low poly mesh. More in detail I am referring to when a change needs to be done to the low poly mesh that would reset the cage that is currently setup. I know I can…
