What level of detail do you mean for this character? I've done a high poly prime, and have the statue here on my desk. I'd say you're fairly accurate, but I'm not sure how accurate you mean to be. Wireframes are good too. :P
This is based on a concept done by Florian Dreyer. I wanted to limit myself to using a singular trim sheet instead of doing a high poly sculpt. It was a fun exercise! The full post and wireframe breakdown is on my artstation! https://rahuladvani.artstation.com Final Composite Trim Sheet made with Zbrush and Substance…
here is the low poly color wirefram and normal map render highpoly sculpting highpoly color block out face close up if you are interested in how i started, here is my wip http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84165
Finally, I can start taking this on. My previous project is nearing a presentable state. Starting off with some clay renders and wireframes. Working on the textures now! :) A question: The restrictions state 3000 polys. Do they mean polygons (four-sided)? Or triangles?
Hello folks! This is my latest model I talked with a friend and he said I should already go for money, what do you think? LP BAKE - WIREFRAME tThere are still few things I would like to fix, but atm I'm pretty satisfacted
Hello, I have been doing this character for the mixamo contest. I started it last Friday so I had to rush it but here is the result. 14372 tris 2048 maps (diffuse, normal, specular, specular color) It is rendered in marmoset. Hope you like it! And wireframes:
I keep getting triangles/ wireframe like lines in my height map rendered out from xnormal. I have the low poly mesh smoothed out and subdivided a few times to eliminate the lines but the result is still the same or is the mesh corrupt? Any ideas? Thanks.

Been working on the sculpt a bit - adding knots and making the wood seem more sturdy like Zetheros and my buddy pointed out. In the meantime I've fixed the wraps and optimized the model down to 3,264 tris. Optimized Model Opt with wireframe
Yeah i do. It makes them more visible from the distance they will be seen. They are for holding the step to the cab, you can see them with the pink outline on the wireframe picture. Very small so i may enlarge them just for aesthetics.
