Eva. Female Character - mixamo contest

Hello,

I have been doing this character for the mixamo contest. I started it last Friday so I had to rush it but here is the result.

14372 tris
2048 maps (diffuse,normal,specular, specular color)
It is rendered in marmoset.

i think the cybernetic arm could be a lot better. it could use some "pop" in the material, in fact the materials in general all read the same way on this.
that is to say, the skin, cloth, metals etc. all seem to have the same lighting values, which is wrong.

Model was designed, modeled and textured in 6 days after work and over weekend so yeah it is not without fault. I found out about the contest to late .
I probably still could improve specular maps to show difference in materials better. I will play around and see if I can improve it. thanks for comments.

man wtf? i thought it was like monday or tuesday and i was wondering what the rush was hahaha!

what i would say is: work on the textures now, make them really shine, make this piece super strong. sure it's not going to be done before the comp ends, but you can turn it from an "okay" folio piece to an "awesome" folio piece.

Nice character, I like the style and pose. Like almighty_gir said, I think you can improve your textures and take them to the next level. A couple of other crits, I'm not sure why the creases in her left leg are so acute and angled like that, it looks a little strange. Also the material around her neck is far too dark and plain, that its making her head look like its floating (especially on that background). If you had a lighter background it might look different, or else you could try a defining the material some more, or take pieces out of it to suggest more of the neck structure.

I played a little bit with specular maps and added texture to neck area. Let me know if this looks better or not ?

Looks like you've got an extension until the 4th of May.

Now that you have the time, it'd be good to try to blend the hair into the head a little better. It kinda looks like it's just glued on at this point and is, I think, the thing that's jumping out the most as not working now.

My eyes go right to the belt buckle( & gold things), everything else has a subtle detail to it but those seem really plain in contrast.

It's really solid overall, good luck on the contest.

Congrats on 3rd place mate.

Really nice design but I would of liked to see some tattoos, piercings and the like to push that punky look a bit further. Yes you could argue that it would start to seem similar to Jack from ME series but where did they get that idea from? Plus you done that all in 6 days so its doesn't leave that much room to explore a design.
