love it so far, my only crit if you're curious would be that the rings in the rug are too dark I think, they drop off basically all the way to black...
@Snader - thanks for the suggestions. Couple of things - 1) What do you mean by float? 2) are you suggesting making the belt rings 3 sided instead of four?
Hands and feet need a bit more detail. Face needs more "rings" arond the mouth for edgelooping, Reduce the size of the eyes a bit.Otherwise, nicely optimize4d geometry. Scott
what they said. or, in other words, get rid of all the verts on the table-top. the center one and that extra ring serve no purpose. lot of other wasted polys, but start with that.
Last quote got stalled a bit too long..check the previous thread to see what it was. Hopefully this one rings a few more bells: "They make cages in all shapes and sizes, you know. Bank-shaped some-of-em, carpets and all."
I agree do whatever is easiest to work with. Your bottom example would be a pain for me to work with because I like loops and rings. Also... Quad Cap? http://www.mariussilaghi.com/qcap.htm
For organic work I find Maya reduce works fine, otherwise I just go in my self and collapse rings and delete loops by hand, and change the topology of some areas by hand.
Also why are there holes in the plates the plates should be one solid mesh. You could add the rings and the lion on another mesh tho. But don't make them awkwardly float above the rest.
Yea the father of your mother is the one to look at they say. So I can expect to go pretty bald except for the Caesar ring around the sides. It's begun! I'll buzz it one day.
