I'm learning Houdini now. Exactly what you mentioned. I like Houdini as well. According to your suggestion, I think I'll focus on Houdini procedural modelling not on substance designer although it's fun for me.
High Poly done in Maya- Xnormal for baking- nDo for some finer detail normal mapping - dDo for base textures. I was inspired by Dead Space and the Remington Chainsaw tutorial for the dDo breakdown. Yeah, blender's snapping function can sometimes be a little tricky so wondering if you tried snap to vertex whilst toggle X-ray to on or edge/vertex slide? (shortcut G x2) Personally I've found most of the time works when an asymmetrical edge doesn't align as expected.

Hi there! Worked on something I've always got on my mind ever since the Heroes of the Storm 2.0 where they feature the Hanamura map, got really inspired to see whether I could design other Overwatch characters into the Heroes of the Storm game. Let me know where I could improve !
