I've only blocked in shapes yet but I've got some that I like for meow. I want to do a roaming explorer type for the pilot, and I'm thinking I'll throw in some wild west in space. The mech's meant to be a brawler with cannons built into the forearms

Spent a little time fleshing out how the creature will be articulated and what its range of movement needs to be. I want the thing looking functional and the design will be driven by that.

Roughed out some direction for the vehicle

Sweeto. Looks so casual and lanky. I like the waterbender-looking garb on the driver, and the fact that they have a wrench. I can see this mech being knocked off balance and just recovering like it's nothing while launching a counterattack.

I've started blocking in the model but nothing interesting to show yet. I'll probably freestyle with the details a little as I go. I also cleaned the concept up a little and tried out some colours:



Once I've settled I think I should get some more pilot concepting fleshed out so they work together

I like the Corps, Macross or huggy style the best out of the bunch, they've got some nice color breakup, and I think having some brighter colors in the mix would help add some nice visual interest and really sell the idea of it being a race/competition.

I really like the design you've got going so far, and the power-up animation is really cool.
