good shit, lots of those earned a place in my reference folder :) i'm not a fan of these textures though: design itself is fine but wear and dirt look very artificial, i mean hard round brush? really? i think i can even see separate dots caused by high spacing...
Do you know of any videos like this ? I'm trying to follow this but when I have the paint layer nothing happens. I need the little circle that is half orange and a bit of green to go to the color ID for green. When I paint in the side ports folder which is green nothing happens
Is it an official GoZ Plugin, or just GoZ Softimage Lite? The latter should have the export/import options under the Tool palette. There are some extra steps to install that one, but for the most part just make sure to install any plugins to your \ZStartup\ZPlugs folder and they should be there the next time Zbrush…
Nice scene! I'm really digging your grass texture, might you share the flat/texture so I can take a closer look at it? It looks like something I did try to archive before. Would love to put it into my inspiration folder! Those fir trees are lovely, too!
Okey well i found out that if I renamed the enu folder to another name.started 3ds max which created a new and the problem was gone C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\enu to C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\trash_enu
ok cool, thats a bit more clear now. I found that at least while testing out changes i'm unsure about i can hide away all but one of the shaders in question then when things appear to be working, re-introduce the others into the project folder. speeds up a bit that way
Necro... I just had this happen...an easy solution is to delete the 3dsmax.ini (X): \Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsmax\20(XX) - (X)bit\enu\3dsmax.ini make sure you have your folder option to show hidden files...hopefully that saves some future WTF! moments...
Most of it is for Pirate101, there may be a few Wizard101 pieces and maybe miscellaneous other games; I may have some stuff from the canceled Warhammer Online Vampire Counts expansion as well, weee! Because I'm super lazy, a lot of these screenshots are straight out of my dailies folder that I backed up.
Or even better, put your images in your dropbox public folder, right click, copy public link, click on "insert image" her in a post and paste the link. People are less likely to comment on your work if they don't see directly the images on your post ( how lazy have we become ? ).
mudbox should store the ptex information also in uv based tif files. take a look into the folder saved beside your mudbox file. you shoudl be able to load those files onto your mesh... mudbox says there are no uvs on the mesh but there are uvs... you need to export the mesh as obj and reimport it...
