Hey guys. This is my first post on polycount and I would like to show you a wip I started on like 1 month ago. It is the thanator creature from the movie Avatar. The zbrush thanator was actually my second sculpt in zbrush after learning zbrush for 2 days and this is just 14 minutes of work.
Well its been a long time since I have posted anything up here, so here is to new beginnings. Here is a new creature I am modelling from Yang qi design. I intend to make this a fully finished lowpoly character (fingers crossed). Here is a recent screenshot and the concept.

Really cool reel! Here are my quick thoughts - Personally not a fan of the music. I used to listen to rage against the machine back in high school, and it's pretty aggressive music. Apparently some recruiters just mute a reel anyway but some don't, so I would try and pick something more neutral. I had an interview where…
@Spearhafoc Thanks man ^^ @Jamesark, yeah in retrospect the perspective on that is really wierd. I originally just did the creature thing up front and then just constructed a the background separately. It was just something to fill in the dead space behind him, but yeah it's not the greatest example of perspective.
Ok so I doodled this at work... And then I decided to try and do a quick paint of this creature. Also a tentacle eyeball for some reason... I am trying to build up my technique on the tablet to find a look that I like and also to become faster.
This is awesome. :) I've been meaning to model a squirtle for a long time. I always get caught up on the eyes of anime style creatures though. How'd you do yours? Are they a seperate decal or are have you painted them straight onto the texture sheet?
