@Pyr, 2 1k textures is half the pixels of 1 2k texture. There are 2 * 1024 * 1024 = 2097152 pixels in 2 1k textures, but 2048 * 2048 = 4194304 pixels in 1 2k.
Hey, so I want to change my tiling based on texel density but for that I need the texel density in runtime somehow for my generic material library. Ive tried DDX DDY for screen space UVs but that dosnt work. Tiling by mesh bounds or so also dosnt make sense. One idea would maybe be to calculate relative distance from 2…
copy layer 2 times on one layer edge detect (in photoshop a custom filter with atrix [0 -2 0,-2 8 -2,0 -2 0] blur the result a bit and blur the ohter copylayer the way the edges arent that hard then use the edgedetection as mask for the blurred layer
