As mentioned by Alex_J, you're using way too many subdivs for your detail level. A bit late with this project I suspect, unless you're interested in improving the process. You could certainly bake separate parts of the same trim sheet, then composite them together in 2d afterwards. Either with Designer, or Photoshop/Gimp. -

I also went with bigger room scale, feels better IMO. ceiling height is 2.6 meters, and room width is 5 meters wall to wall. Started creating the trim texture in NDO, I'm going to use face weighted normals with decals, would have been awesome if POM decals worked in UE4 :\ -

This should be able to answer every question you have about how to create windows and glass in CryEngine. This can be typically applied to any game engine though. The mesh he's got in there though is combination of a metal trim texture and a glass texture, so a multi-sub material essentially. :)… -

Beautiful piece, I agree with the comments that it's nice to see realistic anatomy in a zero suit Samus for once (i could be biased though because you made her built like me haha) :) I also particularly dig the material separation on the suit, the contrast of shiny with more matte trim looks great. -

Try stacking some of those UV's you wont see 2 sides at once so you could probably get away with the repetition of it, and you will get more resolution out of the texture. Another thing i noticed, is that the rust doesn't seem to be effecting that top trim, which seems out of place to me. -

Thanks! My biggest concern is actually maintaining the sharp edges of, say, the outer trim on a brestplate, or the corners of a more rectangular piece. That, and adding more techy details to stuff, like a grill. I guess those could be done mostly in Max, though... Out of curiosity, just why is Turbosmooth better than… -

less texture calls with the rectangle, and if your using it for a unwraped model, possible less UV splits since you can have longer islands and still maintain proper scale. for a unwrapped mesh i would go rectangle, if your speaking of tileing textures and trim sheets i would go 2 textures.
