I've been trying to work on some tiling textures using Substance. I was under the impression the various pattern generators, like the grunge presets, were supposed to tile automatically. However, when I use them they don't tile at all, leaving me with some pretty harsh seams in my textures. So far the only way I've found…
Following Wenda tutorial on importing WM heightmaps I ran into a problem. My texture map from WM is offset, I put the correct terraincoordinates node with the size of the heightmap but the texture is still off.
http://www.filterforge.com/ I saw this post on Unreal developers Network. It would be very useful for Artists looking for a node based texture plugin for making complex textures. It's still in beta, but has a ton of potential!
I was hoping someone could give me a hand. I know how to convert my models and textures to steam formats (.mdl .vmt .vtf etc) but I'm not quite sure how to specify team textures. I have two separate .vmt/.vtf's - one for blu and one for red. How do I incorporate them both correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D
Hey guys, I usually got good rez textures in the max viewport on previous versions of max but since installing 2012. I can't seem to get crisp looking textures the way I used to which was just going into Preferences>viewports>configure driver and change the settings there. That doesn't seem to work anymore. But look at my Texture, realy depressing :( I hope you…
Guys, Ive been looking for this store that sells high resolution face textures. I was wondering if y'all had any resources like that? My skin texturing game is not very good and I wanted to use some scans as a jumping off point and get better from there.
Thanks steveson. I screwed up when I laid out the bricks so layout changes prolly won't be happening :/ Although I used IMM brushes to draw most of the bricks, I used 2.5D mode to perfect the tiling since you get a small seam using Tate Mosesian's method. I don't know how to go back and edit the 2.5D parts unfortunately :[…
I recommend investing in a low end DSLR camera. You can usually nab the basic ones for about $500 and they will give the highest quality that are needed for texture sourcing until you get a full frame dslr which run $1800+. To get the best photo with the least amount of lens distortion you will want to stand as far from…
