Hi Polycount People
![:) :)](https://polycount.com/plugins/emojiextender/emoji/twitter/smile.png)
My Question is: How i can make some good/realistic Textues for CryEnigne 2/3.
I#Ve heard something about "Complete Map Rednering in 3ds MAX", but not enough to know what that means.
I know that i need some Textures from cgtextues or which page. But look at my Texture, realy depressing

Complete maps really aren't useful for much. Normally you render, diffuse, spec, normal and Ambient Occlusion which are all separate and you want them that way so the engine can properly interact with the materials.
Also a big part of the realism you see in Crytek comes from the lighting, the shaders and the real time rendering that happens in the engine.
Then forget the Thing with Complete Map
But the Question is the same. How i make good Textures? Any tutorials here?
I use the polycount wiki to read tutorials.

Don't just slap cg textures images on to objects, that is a step in the wrong direction. To make an object believable, you have to add wear and use in areas that make sense for the object. Consider how it would have been used and worn in its natural environment.
To make things look realistic in a current gen engine...just a texture isn't good enough...you need to think about materials. You need to have a good normal map, and an understanding of how specular maps work too.
Also..your image is super small...can't give specific advice for your object as I can't really see it.
I make a normal UVW Map in 3ds MAX than put it in Photoshop and work with this. But it looks like shit. I use some textues from cg textues and Multiply Layers in Photoshop. The Resolution is 512x512.

You could always look at the textures of artwork you admire, try to study their maps and see what is working for them. And just research in general!
