Hi! I'm working on a little Snake-like arcade game and I've just launched
a demo on Steam:

interesting to you, give it a try and I'd really appreciate any
feedback or thoughts you have!
well - the point is that you don't have to do anything . if this is just a basic tiling normal map in tangent space my best guess is that something is happening to the model at some point - or - your normal map is not stored/interpreted in the right colorspace
Coming to UE5 from UE4 and have a few questions regarding modular sets and nanite. If I have an exterior building wall set that is going to be brick, is it better to use a height map to displace the mesh in ZBrush/Blender, then use nanite on those modular pieces? Assuming it would be a bit more work to get the modular…
Ah okay, I will try to start there, then add layers until it is something sort-of-human For the Skull, I have finished it as fully as I could at the time. I should likely go back and open it and try to add as much detail as I can and sit down with Artistic Anatomy and make sure I have all the right bones and structures in…
Hi Shrike, thanks for the critique really appreciate it. Yeah the cartoon scratches are a render in zbrush for some reason I can't explain. Also thanks for just taking the time to critique my tau mech as well, what sort of stuff would you recommend me putting on the bust and Tau mech texture wise? For as you can see I feel…
Zbrush just simply has no camera. The FOV is a perspective skew in a orthographic projection. You can see this happening when you reimport the same mesh but with a lot bigger bounds. Like adding a cube 10 meters away from your character (or whatever) Another way of showing that it isnt a camera is, that its impossible to…
My spacemouse has made a fantastic ornament for about 15 years now. It comes off the shelf every year or so and I try to get it working with software I use then goes back on the shelf I really like them and if you use software that has driver support and you do something that takes advantage of the hardware (not modelling…
I didn't read the whole thread so apologies if I'm reiterating another point here. I used to work in retail, admittedly guitars and not games, but a huge portion of the overall profits came from used gear / accessories rather than new products. And any brick and mortar business needs to make profits somewhere since the…
Let's start in reverse with #3. Atmosphere: this is completely in your control and it's up to you to decide. What atmosphere are you going for? Industrial? Something like Portal where it feels like a lab environment? You need a clear and cogent idea of what atmosphere you're targeting before you can decide on materials and…
The SWAT team busts into an innocent man's apartment and fills him full of lead but don't blame them, they were just following orders. [ QUOTE ] The king county area of Washington has a LOT of raids for Marijuana. Some of which were flawed because the state permits the medical use of marijuana. Now I understand if you're…
