Hey Guys, I'm aware of the Non-Square Transform node but I'm not a huge fan of having to plug that into a Make It Tile, its a very uncontrollable and imprecise workflow in my opinion. Can we expect that the non-square workflow will be improved upon in the future, ie non-square generators etc? I ask because this affects…
Hey everybody! First time posting here so we'll see how it goes. :) Just wanted to share some artwork that I've been working on for AirMech. It's an Action-RTS game with transforming robots! There's a lot that I want to share so I'll keep updating this page as I have more time. Hope you guys like them! :D

Welcome to Edinburgh Wesley :) yeah it's quite expensive getting down there from Edinburgh, hopefully I'll have enough saved up by the end of the month. And for transferable tickets, its fine, the website states: "Normal tickets are fully transferable so feel free to pass your tickets on to a friend. Please note, press and…
you can also save your uncut model, then cut the hell out of your model and then use the transfer attributes tool and transfer vertex normals from one to the other, i use it all the time mostly for hair and transferring the normals from the main shells to the fly away planes, this makes it all shade correctly.
I'm a newbie with Maya, just started last night with it. I have a cube which I want one of the faces to have an Z coordinate of 33. I entered the coordinate into the Transform box on the status line, but the Channel Box/Layer Editor shows a coordinate value of 32 while the Component Editor shows 33. Why are these values…
Been a while since I've done cloth. I think this is what you need. Or a nCloth Transform constraint using a locator instead of polygons. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Maya/files/GUID-E63DA358-F904-4FD9-B45C-4046AB0D97EB-htm.html

I have a texture input and just want to use a section/part of that image as my base for the rest of texture work. Help would be much…
Hey all, Today I posted about the basics and a couple tricks you can use when it comes to utilizing the "Show 3D Widget" button on Vectors and Transforms. Any feedback on how I did the tutorial / something I might have missed is appreciated Hope it helps! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS79tKyjdHc&t=11s
thanks for the tip, some googling revealed that it's Transform menu. local symmetry was turned on, i didn't know that there's also 'activate symmetry' button that you gotta click... and yeah, i did watch that tutorial. i gotta try that technique out, although the actual result didn't really impress me that much.
