Hi all, here my first item. Plese dont beat me too much. Plot:"Ostarion found this sword stucked in stone. Could't pull out, but could't leave. this old model/textures here new release :D i will be glad for some ideas for my plot(crude sketches or something)
Just an old, blind, big sword toting orc. Not going to change the mesh much but I've only got about 4-5 hours into the texture and it needs a lot more love. Got an intuos 6x8 for my birthday and its been great fun playing around with it. He's weighing in at 3505 tris with a 512* rgba texture.
Here’s my final render, made in Unreal Engine. I’ve decided to call it done for now. @Fabi_GThanks a lot for the detailed feedback! That’s super helpful. I’m still pretty new to sculpting, so I really appreciate the tips — especially about the bevels and the faceting on the fish. I’ll definitely try out your suggestion…
@Demonith I'm sorry but I have no time, and I'm not a pro. @njc6425 Thank you very much Under the impression of World of Warcraft Cataclysm Deathwing Two-Hand Sword: And version with 256x256 texture: http://s019.radikal.ru/i624/1203/fb/f3101b5328f2.jpg
After looking at the Zbrush community make some Dragon Ball Z fan art I tried to model several things, I couldn't model some Akira Toriyama's designs but I managed to get Trunks sword out into a model it's not the best but I tried
Twenty-minute figure studies from Croquis Cafe. Also, with friends was doing this certain thing - smashing together 2 refs and doing totally another thing. Here it was "Two-handed sword" and "Deadly dagger" My interpretation of the theme "Knight of the future" and face study.
hey, cool stuff so far! the thumbnail reads very well. i'm just not sure with the sword, in the last version it really looks like a light saber if you dont know him. maybe just metal shading and some nice highlights from the moonlight?
Finally got time to finish my Dejah Thoris. I missed her a lot. The final lowpoly stands at 26,126 triangles and has 3 X 2048 px and 1 X 512 px(Hair) texture sheets. The sword uses 1 1024px texture
hey Devin was wondering if you've had any success with drawing tileable grass. Been trying for ages and I always end up with green soup good work on the sword btw really digging the beat up cast iron look vs the shiny one
I would also check out the portfolio of some of the artist from the major "Handpainted" game companies (e.g. Fanny Vergne (Blizzard) or Tyson Murphey (Blizzard/Riot)). There is also a nice tutorial from Tyson on 3Dmotive about texturing a sword, it helped me a lot.
