So now that the workshop is well on its way, and there is tons of mods. Which ones do you guys use? if any at all? I have been skeptic about mods, but using the workshop is so much easier, you can see the updates and comments, and you only need to subscribe to use the mod. (unless it asks you to install something else as…
render higher res with a light grey background (very slight blue works well for me). that way I can actually see ur character. I can also recommend you look up racer445's texture tuts. They're all over the internet.
Hi all, Just posted this on Zbrushcentral and thought I'd post it here as well... Being a production artist at EA, I rarely get the opportunity/time to push one final image to completion. This is my second piece using render layers from Zbrush. My goal this time around was to focus on lighting and mood. Something that…
Are you sure there's no alpha? How are you viewing the saved files? One important thing to remember is PNG alpha can be goofy. Some PNG writers will change the RGB where the Alpha is pure black, which isn't great for renderers that try to filter the texture. You should have "like" colors in the blank areas, so if the hair…
@Necrodark So after a lot of experimenting and test bakes, this is what I came up with. It's probably not the best way to do things, but it's the best I could come up with from my very limited experience lighting in Unreal. . . First off this guy has a great volumetric fog presentation if you haven't seen it…
Hi all So I'm starting a new project - it's going to be a winter scene in UDK with a very slight hint of Christmas (some fairy lights on a tree). I'm going to keep it simple and just focus on making a few assets to start with. C&C is very welcome. I'm starting with ice skates Reference: [IMG][/img] Blockout: [IMG][/img]
the texturing/wear looks freaking awesome but yeah something about the emissiveness of all those blue lights looks off to me, i would probably push the emissive of them more or add a slight bloom to them or something, they don't really look very 'glowy' right now
That's coming along nicely! I would call this one done especially since you seem like you want to move on to another project and I don't blame you. It's not that this one isn't an awesome display of environmental skills, because it is. But you could be tweaking it for weeks and I doubt the time invested in tweaking will…
