thanks nizza, not sure what you mean about the ribcage, might do one final detail/sharpness pass on her and then lowpoly. Just realised comicon challenge is on and I didnt enter and Im creating a comic character anyway - DOH!!! -
HAIR!?
i saw some good hair examples from some of the entries in comicon challenge 2010, and the varga tut is a widely referenced method, but I think this topic needs exploring further by artist & engineers, or perhaps I just need more practice:) and another texture example I made with finer hairs -
spiderman 3 , venom info

smoothing seam issues
Ok so I was redoing my comicon entry and I kept having this gaping huge seam in the model, at first I thought it was textures but it definitely is not, something to do with the mesh. textureless normalmapless in marmoset: The model itself is welded, everything is set to one smoothing group. Strider - WIP
Hey guys, im here as I believe I would grab much better feedbacks with this character im doing for comicon challenge. I wont finish it in time, but I still want to make it. Crits welcome, specially into anatomy and proportions. This is without retopology yet, so, it will come better later with resolution. -

Awesome creature model! I also like that the specifications are pretty reasonable. I think the dark areas on the armor are a little too dark, but that could just be my monitor. It would be cool if there was more body hair/fur too. I'm really looking forward to your Comicon entry!
