If you make a texture for your emissive (glow) map, use black for anywhere you don't want to glow, and colours/bright areas for glowing spots. Ahh, so what you're saying is that idealized curves provided by Turbosmooth are beneficial not because they have influence on the sides, but because they benefit the transitions above and below those sides (for example, into caps). To think about it, you are right, my method makes every chamfer follow the lowpoly sides… -

I'll have to try your trick MoP, I usually end up using the paint selection tool to planar map strips of the mesh and then stich that together, low distortion but really slow sometimes. -

Should you high poly buildings then back onto low Maya?
Hi there, Burning question - do you always need to make high poly buildings to bake onto low ones? For example, the building I'm working on I've included - would you suggest I make a high poly of it to bake onto a low - or simply texture the low. The asset is for Unreal Engine and I texture in Substance Painter. Thanks!
