Here's an example from my own work. This is the exact same game level, just tweaking the camera angle and materials and color grading to get different "looks". It's actually a ton of fun doing this, because all the content is made already. It's just putting a fun spin on it all to come up with something nice to look at.…
Gigapixel Gigapixel is only upscaling. so from 2k he get 4k photo for the source for scans that's all. Not to be overly jumpy on anything AI. But i get that people see AI and associate zero value to it
Hello and thanks for checking this out! My situation is this; I was given a very dense scene that was decimated and turned low poly before being handed off to me. It also came untextured. Since then I have put some basic procedural textures onto everything and it looks alright. I want to go ahead and brush the whole thing…
Back again with another update to this one. This time I've: - Pushed the lighting. I liked the godray shining onto the runestone to attract the eye a bit more and thought I could get some storytelling going there with the ravens having flown in to sit menacingly on our little runestone. - Moved around some pillars and…
well, I can think of two big things to comment on; 1. does the katana have distal taper? Many 3D artists model swords as if they were cut from a flat sheet of metal; you want distal taper. 2. Is the cross-section of the katana grip oval or perfectly round? You want an oval cross-section for edge alignment. other than that…
Wondering if there's any unreal enjoyers in the chat? Apparently high heels in a game engine is a whole thing :skull: I'm using the gameplay animation sample stuff in unreal which is pretty cool, and it's even cooler that I'm able to intervene by making some edits to the CR_Biped_Footplacement rig within the animation…
Hi all, I have been working on the below for Grads in Games' Search For A Star 2020 competition. I am a masters student at University of Hertfordshire, however I only started working in 3D modelling and games design around four months ago (previously my background was in fine art). Any and all feedback will be greatly…
Nice work, this looks really sweet! If you’re open to feedback at this late stage, your presentations/flats could potentially benefit from some changes. The three-sword image is a bit confusing. The front and back views look like they have different lighting; this could be because you painted some lighting into the color…
@2300511685 Correct, the round over in the third step was added with a non-destructive bevel / chamfer modifier that uses edge weights to control the width. If edge weights aren't an option then a simple loop path could also be used to constrain the round over. There's a few different ways to approach modeling lofted…
