Getting started with softening the edges today. Quick question: how many polys would be acceptable for the game ready model if this were to be next gen. 10k?
Last Gen Shader = Diffuse, Normal, Specular, Gloss, etc. This is a NOT Physically-Based Rendering approach. These are basically games from XBOX360/PS3 and previous generations.

Hey guys, not sure if this counts, but I'm now working at Liquid Development on some next-gen titles. It's not a studio job, but it's industry work and my first gig since starting learning 3d a year ago! www.liquiddevelopment.com :)
I'm a 3D artist specializing in character art. Available for on or off-site work. Wide range of skills from low poly, to next-gen asset creation. Hunter Mortenson www.huntermortenson.com hntrluc@hotmail.com MSN: hntrluc@hotmail.com
Some Mass Effect fan-art, I like Jondum Bau's armor and try make it. Start learning Zbrush dynamesh , and I like it! Polypaint its just for fun. Next I think make next-gen character from this.
Hey guys, been working on it in free time. Its hi-poly model for baking normals. I'm planing to make the low-poly next-gen look, so i guess it will be about 9-10k tris with all the details
