Hey guys, been working on it in free time.
Its hi-poly model for baking normals.
I'm planing to make the low-poly next-gen look, so i guess it will be about 9-10k tris with all the details
Very nice but i think it misses welding marks.
Downpipe to muffler and the exaust pipe from muffler both seem like they were pressed along with the muffler from a single piece. Also the luggage holder pipes intersect too cleanly.
And some edges might be too sharp, you cant press sharp edges from sheet metal and after you paint it, it will get even less sharp.
Hey guys, tnx for comments
2 Toomas, the hi-poly model missing small details here and there, like welding marks, and some parts are too sharp on edges as u noticed and few small details. I will make the missed parts with photoshoped normal maps to save time, depends where it will be noticeble, and depends on texture size i will have for this part.
Damn nice work, I agree with Toomas, you have a very nice clean model, now its time to mess things up a bit, add some welding seams, pipe joints, a few rivets holding the mudguards and flat metal buts together, and maybe a few clips holding cables and the like in place. You have gone to a lot of effort making this badboy nice and detailed, now you need to finish it off.
there are a lot of fiddly bits in and about the seat and such, i'm very keen on seeing how you translate those to the final real time model. aside from that, excellent form.
Awesome, Ive been wanting to try building the high poly model first for normal map generation. I usally go lowpoly then add highploy detail from there. It would be cool if you could post any snags you run into, or workflow tips that could have saved you time. Agian, this is looking top notch.

keep on going
Now, lets see a normal mapped low poly version
Great model though. I can imagine the low poly being a bit of a headache - what with all the inney-outey bits.
But I can say it once again without getting too repetitive, right? I lub it.

looks great.
