Mount and Blade had a pretty good training grounds setup were you could spare with your party to both get practice as a player but also grind xp for leveling the player character and the party. What's the platform for this game? Is it mobile?
Sweet, 360 looks/sounds awesome. And who the hell cares if its ugly or not. I still use my DVD player even they it (and every other single DVD player on the earth) looks like the most boring piece of hardware.
Funny type of game, could be interesing, where the player character takes drugs and gameplay is affected. http://news.com.com/Game+lets+players+ta...tml?tag=nefd.ac not sure it is going to help game rep, but then again all publicity is good publicity? tpe
So some background info: I'm making a short horror game based in a Dollhouse in the 1940s where the player gets trapped inside a dollhouse. Once the player finds a way out, they are transported to a surreal world. I'm struggling to convey how the playable space is portrayed in the game. I want to have the Dollhouse to be…
If you want to do level design then make sure to use your environments to do so. Just doing environment assets will never qualify you for doing level design. Level design is a part of game design, and does not require art per se. Level design is about composition, user flow, leading the player, placement of important…
yea but you're saying to blaze new trails when someone already blazed a trail a few inches to the left. It is better and wiser to ask for directions to that trail than to go hacking at the grass yourself. This stuff all moves too fast and changes too often. In fact, the people who blazed those trails also basically…

He wanted the scale to be so large that you didn't even know what you were walking on until you saw it from a distance. The scale was obviously the biggest challenge so I…
How do updates work with all this? Through Steam as long as I purchased it through there? Also, it seems like a pretty cool program...but my problem is...how do I explain all this to another person. I dove into "Substance" yesterday night for the first time (I'm currently trying to watch tutorials on everything to get a…
Ah, sorry, you mistook my point or I was unclear. I am talking anti racisim fanaticisim like making laws that are in themselves reverse racisim and just make racists believe more firmly that they are right. Like the law about hiring a black woman over a white man. These things just piss off the racists more and make the…
Typically you'd overlay tiling detail maps in-engine and/or secondary UVs to get things like fabric weave. I'm not a character artist so I don't know if 8 sets is too many, but my gut says it is  You probably want to look into layered materials and detail maps if you're unfamiliar with the concepts. I get that its a…
