Great stuff, some really great modelling and texturing here. Only criticism I can find is that the hair seems a little flat in the stills; virtually no specularity. In the video also, the highlights run vertical, when hair usually has horizontal highlights (due to strand direction).

I apologize if I'm telling you things you already know - it can be hard to gauge sometimes. Multiple materials isn't the same thing as UDIM, which is when you want your UV tiles to act as a single big virtual texture. A character is generally going to have multiple materials with different settings, ie: skin, hair and…
There is a pretty common misconception that if you can save a few tris by using alpha, its worth it. This however, is quite misguided. 1. If you're keeping the alpha'd bits on the same UV layout, you're going to DOUBLE the texture memory on a compressed diffuse texture. A 24 bit .dds is 1/2 the size of a 32 bit .dds 2. The…
This was a 10 week project I did for Virtual Environments II at UTDallas. I modeled and textured most assets in Maya, Blender and Painter. Assets are low poly game models. The goal was to make quality reusable assets for a realistic scene. Full breakdown on ArtStation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/o28kBm
[ QUOTE ] The models were done by myself. Textures by Benoit Regimbal. Concepts by Michael Corriero. [/ QUOTE ] Almost wanted to bust your virtual kneecaps for stealing Benoit's work but I guess I won't have to *puts back the mallet* cool stuff, all a bit generic but thats ok
Project Overview Creating a virtual card game which will be in a 3D room and looking for an artist to create various assets. There will be menus/buttons along with room components to complete the game. There is temp art already in place (see pics at bottom), would like to keep models small with low polys. Requirements 2D…
there is a lot of ways 3D scanning is useful for Artists and designers of all sorts. i think the uses can be summed up in a few broad catagorys: 1:1 Asset Replication - as others pointed out a lot of studios are utilizing 3d scans to get real world assets into their pipeline from the likenesses of actors and models for…
