Oglu - I set the subdivision iterations to 3 in arnold and checked auto bump like the tutorial suggested Musahidan - The tutorial suggested a mid value of .5 from zbrush balanced with a -.5 in the scalar zero value. Not sure if thats the issue and I should be just extracting it at 0 mid value and then leaving the scalar… -

Yeah I also got the same lighting when I made the grass from scratch. Plane with a couple segments, Taper mod, Bend mod, Scatter compound object, and choose a ground plane. It went away when I started with a 3-sided Cylinder instead of a Plane, or when I used Shell on the Scatter object. -

fonx, that was a pretty reasonable observation from cheap, since we have fairly strict criteria for allowing mod request/pimps. if this is the same as whn we saw it six months later, that makes it pretty clearly just a mod help request and not really a pimp. so let's see something new or this thread gets moved. -

I just started working in a modding community, which I'm pumped about. Only thing is that they plan to have the mod ready in about 2 years. So while I'll get experience working on a team, in interviews, I won't be able to say I've got any completed projects for 2 years. -

What mods have you been on? Alot of people I meet tell me more than anything else mod experience impresses them as it shows you follow through on items and know some of how the development process happens. You cant beat real experience using the limitations of engines. -
