Hello everyone. I spent my spring break learning zBrush and xNormal. I did a tutorial and I *thought* I understood how to do this. Clearly, something is happening. So here is my problem. I made a high poly sculpt in zBrush approximately 1 million polys. I duplicated it, and decimated it to 248 polys. I now have a high poly…
I'm trying to figure out a workflow for creating low poly models with normal maps baked from a Zbrush sculpt. Currently, I am creating a base block mesh in Maya which I am importing into Zbrush. This part of the process is working out ok but I am confused as to how I then turn the sculpted object into a low poly normal…

I don't want people to have to click a few pages just to see my work. That's why I have it designed this way. Are there to many sub options?…
Thanks for your input Alex. I have never really delved into custom hotkeys before, and youre right that that may save me some serious headache. Especially between programs. I will be sure to keep silhouettes in mind as well. I have, and enjoy working low-high as well, but i often find i have more difficulty executing on…
OBlastradiusO - Anytime you use Turbo / Mesh Smooth modifiers in order to tessellate an object, it will eat away at your CPU's performance due to the increase calculations. Vert-tinting is used as a technique that helps give a little more variety to stale low budget textures and models. You can generally get good enough…
@Mathellt It's an emission channel in SD. I isolated the pits and gradient mapped them yellow-red-black to get the glow. And introduced some breakage with noise. @skycity02 Thanks ;) Here is another pass on the coral one. I'm probably going to slow down a bit now and spend some time to to proper presentations and…
