you have Hammer and Sandbox2. I havent really checked, but im sure you can set up some good DX shaders for inside any of the newer max viewports (if u use max) along with realtime soft shadows and what not.
thank you very much guys for the comments. I have rendered out a turnaround and will post that as soon as I compress it. I have also baked everything and will show the realtime version soon as well. Lets hope this piece gets me a job
One thing usually not mentioned in this approach is that real world cameras have barrel distortion, while most virtual cameras are purely linear perspective. Matching is pretty hard without this. Some renderers can add this distortion, but I haven't seen any realtime viewports that do it.
Hello guys, here's my latest project. it was a fun thing to try and emulate what Arksys are creating. I used zbrush for the base and concepting and then retopo/shader in blender. It's a realtime shader that use little to no texture, only one 16x16 for the linework and a 512x512 for the eyes. The rest is just basic color…
Hi folks, I'm working on a new project. It is a full automatic sci fi snack wagon, my idea was to pack a complete restaurant into one service unit. I make a realtime version for the UE4 too :) My first model with overpaint: The second iteration: This is the actual version: Any feedback or suggestions are welcome :D
Thanks for the info, very helpful. I will say I am not making a game, I am typically exporting animations out of the sequencer. Trying to get into realtime renders. Just figuring out the best work flow from 3ds max or blender into UE
Very nice find. Nifty to look at ... even not being a character artist. That tool he wrote seems nifty too. WTB that UV script and realtime UV editor display of UV warping... looks like Roadkill but 20 times better and inside of Maya.
And the last bit for now This is the sculpt of a OpsSuit from Conviction that I was tasked on retooling and matching our other sets from Blacklist.. Mark Vick (Ritorian) was a big help here as he did all the other suits. I'll post the realtime version later.
if you want a realtime simulation then look into the cloth sim built into unity. as for creating the actual mesh, either do it the old fashioned way or you could try something like marvelous designer 2 which would take less than an hour to create
Hi Mikael (Adam here :D ) Still think you should try doing the scratches realtime with mudbox, can give you a really good base with barely any effort. Or try doing a dDO-pas over it and see what you get :)
