Maya 2025: How to make a rectangles long side parallel to another objects edge?
I have a rectangle whose long side I would like to make parallel to another objects edge. I have tried all my newly learned tricks and nothing is sticking. The closest I have gotten is moving a corner of the rectangle to the edge I want it to be parallel to but this only gives me 50% of the solution... I have tried… -

Maya 2012 and Hair
Has anyone seen the Hair menu in Maya 2012? It's strangely absent. In the Plugins menu I can find and enable Fur, but not Hair. According to the 2011 Documentation it's in the Dynamic Menu Set, but in 2012 it's called nDynamics, and it's not there. Even when trying to customize the Menu Sets, the Hair Menu is nowhere to be… -

Do you have the lastest Service Pack installed (Service Pack 12)? http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autodesk-3ds-max-2012-product-update-12.html?v=2012 I remember having this issue at some point with 2012. 2012 Service Pack 1 states fixing a vertex channel display issue.
