Hello people of Polycount, I am a L4d2 Mapper who is working on my first custom campaign "Dead End". Here are some screenshots of progress so far. As you can see, most of these pictures are outside pictures. Most of the campaign will be taking place outside in the wildlife rather than in inside or in cities. What I really…
Who Am I? I an American high school student creating my own game looking for some asset creators. :) Who Am I Looking For/The Job? I am looking for a wonderful artist such as yourself to help me create stylized weapons & creatures. The weapons that need to be made are swords, daggers, and big bulky hammers, think RPG…
I have started learning on blender, and have used the Jonathan Williamson Tutorials to hammer out a basic mesh. My end goal is a faceless male basic model that I can rig, or more favorably attach a pre-made rig to. The rendering and coloration is going to be basic colors, with no real facial features modeled in. Just a…
Geez, big night for HL2 mods. Episode 2 of Minerva drops, now this! Empires is a very polished looking mod for HL2 that has one player playing a traditional RTS style game, building buildings and vehicles and the like, with all the other players on the team acting as the ground troops. Load up Steam and you should get a…
Hey, little update on my workshop contribution with 3 new skins: 1. Dual Berettas Yin & Yang: The base idea behind the design was to use the special feature of Dualies that there is two of them and that you can see opposite sides in game at all times - so I can create two skins in one or just a bigger story. But apparently…
I know how this can feel. I would say stop looking for the "perfect" concept and just save like 5 different images you think look cool, and then close your eyes and scroll through and just pick whatever one is open when you open them. Overthinking is holding you back, and done is certainly better than perfect but never…
Lets not forget the financial burden suffered by small studios. From the figures I read they had about 16000 collector editions sold split among the 4 developers. That's about 600,000$. Sounds like just the right amount of cash to keep development moving forward. Not too little, not too much. I Have my own project I'm…
thanks for the reply twolisten I didn't really use any ref or mood imagery, no. I probably should've but i knew kinda what i wanted it to turn out like, so i just kept hammering away at it till it looked right. I did look at the art of Castlevania SOTN for inspiration for the outfit but this kind of thing is totally my…
I think the choices for your portfolio are a bit weird.First pic is a ring on a rock, thats not exactly what you'd put in a portfolio imho.I like the chair, the table and extinguisher, they look like nice props and the shaders and light is great on them. The knife looks nicely shaded and while i don't see any problems from…
Looks cool, you should reconsider the changes that you've made from the original concept. The glaring issues I can see are the bottom of the grip is too thin and awkward (just under the final finger indent) the bottom of the trigger guard is too sharp and right angled (should be bevelled) and the hammer is too small. The…
