Niiiice job man congrats, I just got turned down from there for a junior env artist position. They do seem like an awesome awesome company to work for.
^What Crazy fingers said is great. Character artists could be "Warrior Trainers" and env folk be "Arena Builders" or something like that. Each side with their colours and "home turf"
feedback, hmmm, its an early stage ...nice blockout , as the same way we create levelart protos in our company and most env-art made by the same process, keep do it )
I like your env arts, the second pic is really cool but I'd rather not write "your fked" if you are going to put into your portfolio. Just some minor detail ;)
That house looks cool! Here's a few critiques I've got for it; The texture on the wooden beams gets darker towards one end. This makes it so you can tell it's been duplicated for every beam. If you adjust the texture for the beam so that the darker bit is just near the end, and on both ends, it'll look a bit better imo.…
It's not necessarily true that the last plane crashed. In the purgatory world, they all died at various points. For all we know, Hurley and Ben could have been guarding the island for until the end of mankind - but they still died. There's no "now" as Jack's father said, all of them area dead some sooner some later. I…
A couple of things that kind of stood out to me about your video. If I recall, the subject of your dissertation was "How environment artists create horror sets" or something along those lines? I feel like a lot of the success in horror sets are the props that populate the scene and tell a story. I remember in Silent Hill 3…
Hi guys, here I tried to model lowpoly sci-fi env, I used Maya for modeling, I made normal map separately in NDO(Quixel Suite) and used Substance painter for texturing, please do comment on this, any suggestions critiques anything. Thanks
either way might work but should probably get the model in your rendering engine with some basic textures, that way you can see what effect those changes would have on the final product. For example if you have one less edgeloop to hold the shape of the cylinder it might look bad once you have real lighting applied. Or…
Hello everyone, I am Aru and I recently did a studio ghibli inspired environment under 2 weeks as I was and still am in a crunch with uni assignments and all. Just wanted to link it here so you can check it out and also critique it and give me feedbacks so that I know what I am doing if I revisit this and for my future…
