Ghibli Inspired Environment

Hello everyone, I am Aru and I recently did a studio ghibli inspired environment under 2 weeks as I was and still am in a crunch with uni assignments and all. Just wanted to link it here so you can check it out and also critique it and give me feedbacks so that I know what I am doing if I revisit this and for my future projects.

This is looking great so far. I love the color palette.

I think it's worth pushing it a bit more to get it to a really good place for your portfolio.

    1. The gray-purple stucco on the walls should have some weathering near the wood beams. Without this it's looking very flat. An example from here on our wiki:

    2. There is a large falling leaf that obscures the house. You should wait for a bit before taking the screenshot, to avoid this kind of "interruption".

    3. The falling leaves don't seem to match the leaf shapes on the trees, and there are no fallen leaves on the ground. If you don't want to change these things, it would be better to omit the particle animation entirely.

    4. The bright outlines on the leaves at upper left are odd. It would be nice to remove this effect if you can, it looks like a graphical error, like perhaps the normal map is too low in resolution.

    5. Seems there is grass growing on top of the foreground-middle rock? This looks out of place since it doesn't occur elsewhere, and the grass is very long, and the grass has a hard bottom edge.

    6. The dark green bushes in front of the house look odd with their dark edges. You could fix the shading on these so they blend in more.

There are a few more things, but this is pretty good so far, loving the vibe you have going on!

Thanks for all the advices Eric, I do think I like the color palette warmer, tried to make the scene more cooler but it didn't look as appealing as this one.
    1. I will take this into consideration as that really slipped my mind. Was using this stylized reference blindly and forgot that real life details still matter even in stylized artworks.
    2. I do have plenty of screenshots without the leaf obstructing it, I only wanted to show the preview of how the environment looked like but I will take that also into consideration.
    3. Noted, I can change the falling leaf cards into a leaf resembling ones on the trees as I do like the particle haha, I will also look into making piles of scattered leaves on the ground that seamlessly integrates with the landscape.
    4. I will take a look into it, was bothering me a bit as well since it makes the main foreground element look a bit out of place but I probably must have did something funky with the shader setup for it.
    5. Noted, for the hard bottom comment, do you mean for the entire grass layout in the landscape or any particular region?
    6. Understood, that can be easily fix in the shader setup.
If there is any more I can improve upon, please do not hesitate
