Your importing size is wrong... I have 'units set up' as Generic and 'system unit setup' as 1 unit = 1 inch. The donkey is imported with wallworm, I believe it was from the dota webpage.
Pixel art is amazing. One of the things I love a lot about pixel art is the dithering technique- that optical illusion of value made by various checkerboard patterns, sometimes using only two colors. I set out to make a dithering shader in UDK, for this 3D pixel art game I want to make- I was thinking it could help me sell…
Hey guys, I'm working on re-designing Engywook from never ending story. So almost done with the high poly. The idea came from the part of the movie where he has "the wench" his wife roll him up to his crystal telescope on the pulley system he created. I decided to create a much more efficient machine for him to use to get…
I've seen this done in engine l. it was basically like klunk describes but we were generating textures and using material overrides for the viewmode rather than encoding anything into the mesh(cos that gets used for other stuff) Imo it's a bit of a waste of time. You can't use the GPU to get a good representation and it's…
I have found a solution: 1. export the texel density map from RizomUV 2. use it to mask areas with variable Td in Painter 3. use a filter Height Adjust Now to properly set this filter I export a simple plane with all texel densities in my project: say I have 5 different Tds - then I divide this plane into 5 areas, unwrap…
it sounds like you're not excluding the lowpoly mesh from the ao bake in the material shader, if you set exclude to -1 and then in the object property's of the lowpoly mesh set object ID to 1 it should work
DKP Miniatures is looking for a concept artist to design the characters of the game. these will be made into printable 3D models. The game is sci-fi and includes human-alien-mutations, cybernetics, and a mix thereof. Revenue sharing from the game is available. This will first go to Kickstarter and then be sold on 3D…
To add to what's already been mentioned, I've only just viewed your links and would definitely reiterate that you're starting WAY too high in resolution. If you have little to no experience sculpting then this is a very bad idea. Because you're only getting a feel for the brushes and how they behave you're having a…
Hi! Props for attaching files :-B Taking a look at the lowpoly, I'd say with beveled edges and the resulting mesh shading, hard edges become redundant. While hard edges need UV splits (when baking a normal map), not every edge along a UV split needs to be shaded hard. I would use use hard edges deliberately in places where…
We are looking to hire 1 to 2 part time artists who can help us from concept to completion (in engine 3D models textured w/shaders) on a number of building and environment props. The game is fantasy themed and styled, think Genshin Impact but with a westernized approach. Examples will be provided. Please only apply if you…
