so i watched this video an i was like holy shit this stuffs all awesome, i thought the new movie was 99% mediocre cgi.. then i read that most of this awesome praticle effects was scrapped to make room for mediocre cgi. i miss good praticle fx soo much. -

I... Well... I'm the biggest Dwarf fan going, at least around here. But damn, I missed the laughter track so much :( And it was a shame to see so much CGI work being used too :( Red Dwarf was always about the cardboard sets, not CGI windows into space :( Still, its more Dwarf! Hope the nest episode is better though. -

I really dont get why they didnt go for a more contrasty, flickering strong shadows kind of style - like in Alien and Aliens.
